Nutrition Classes

At GBUAHN, we believe in giving you the tools you need to live your healthiest life.

Our on-staff fitness trainer and registered dietitian provide a variety of classes and resources to help you meet your health-related goals.

 
 

Wellness Classes

Weight Support

The member weight support class happens every Wednesday and Thursday from 10-11:30am. During the first 45 minutes of this class you will learn tips on eating for a healthy weight. During the second 45 minutes, you’ll spend time exercising in the gym.

Nutrition Intro

Nutrition 1:

In this class, you will learn categories of food and how to balance them for a healthy weight. You will learn portion sizes and the basics of making a quick meal or snack. We will also talk about why being healthy is important to you.

Nutrition 2:

In this class, we will talk about how our sleep and thinking habits can affect our health. You will learn about how calories affect your weight, and how to read a nutrition facts label. In addition, you’ll learn how to build your recipe “toolbox”.

Cooking Classes

Cooking 1:

We will make an entire meal in this class including a main dish, side, and dessert. You will be able to see the concept of “balancing out” your meals in action.

Cooking 2:

This class focuses on making healthy breakfast meals. You will learn how to make a few familiar meals in a new healthy way. We will also make a several breakfast recipes that might be new to you. Who knows – you might end up wanting to make breakfast for dinner!

Cooking 3:

In this class you will learn how to portion starch, roast vegetables, and make flavorful but light dressing for meals that fill you up but don’t break your budget.

G-Fit Classes

G-Fit Wellness for members gives our members the opportunity to do cardio training, weight training, functional training, exercise rehabilitation, Yoga and/or Zumba 1 to 4 days per week.
